Just wish we found Sue sooner!
We are so grateful to Sue who has helped us with night nanny support with our first baby. Sue is calm and kind and I trusted her with our little one straight away. She did more than just look after our baby though, Sue supported me with concerns and questions I had as a first time mum, always listening without judgement and not forcing opinions. I learned a lot from Sue and felt reassured when she was around, and would highly recommend her to any other families looking for caring, non judgmental support at such a tender time. My only regret is that we didn’t find her sooner!
Kind and caring - highly recommend!
Sue has been a wonderful support for our family as we welcomed our second child. We were able to get some much needed rest while she looked after our newborn which was a real game changer. She also provided much appreciated general support pre and post-natal. Having her help meant we could really enjoy this special time!
Part of the family
Sue is the perfect presence around the house with a new baby. She projects calm and care, and has so much experience that she’ll always be able to help if you have questions or you’re worried about your new baby. We really enjoyed all the time she spent with us and will miss seeing her every few days.
Sue saves the day (and night)
Sue essentially joined our family for the birth of our 2nd child and filled in whatever space we needed: nights, afternoon help with the toddler or emotional support. Sue is easy going, supportive, and also very knowledgeable. She brings decades of trained and first-hand experience that we found educational, as we learned to read the signs of our growing baby (and toddler!). Finally, Sue is great to work with. We did not know all of the ways in which we would need help, but she worked with us each month to figure out the right schedule and workload.
Grateful to have Sue with us on this journey
Becoming a new parent is an overwhelming experience, filled with joy, exhaustion, and a whole lot of questions. Looking back on my own journey, I can confidently say that having Sue by my side as a postnatal doula was one of the best decisions I made.
She wasn’t just there to help with the baby; she was there to support me as a new mother, physically and emotionally. Whether it was listening to my feelings and concerns, looking after my baby to give me time for myself, providing advice and tips, Sue was a constant source of knowledge and reassurance.
If you’re considering hiring a postnatal doula, I’d highly recommend Sue. Her presence made a significant difference in my postpartum journey, and I am grateful for her help.
Highly recommend!
Sue gave me great advice, support and companionship when she came to work with me and my twins in the early months. I learned a lot from her and really felt the difference it made. I would definitely recommend working with her.
Very grateful we found Sue!
My husband and I are Australian expats working in london so did not have the benefit of family support when our newborn arrived in September 2023. Sue was recommended on a local mums Facebook page as a doula who provided excellent post natal support. We were so grateful we got in touch with her and felt at ease with Sue as soon as she walked in the door. It was a huge relief for us to be able to catch up on sleep during the day knowing Sue could calmly handle anything our new baby might throw at her and she has been amazing with helpful tips and answering all our questions as new parents (there have been many!). Sue has been a lifesaver and we highly recommend her services!
Sue is great!
Sue was our postpartum doula as I knew I would need help and someone for guidance and support and my husband and I are really glad we found Sue.
Sue comes into your life and subtly fits in to the new dynamic that you have. She is extremely warm and chatty and was able to provide us with the comfort that we needed at that time.
She helped us with lots of first – first bath, first time changing diaper, first time putting a dummy – and was able to put my mind at ease with the many questions I sent over texted / asked.
I would highly recommend Sue if you are looking for a caring and non-judgemental doula!
Thank you Sue. You’re the best.
Sue is caring, supportive and just absolutely wonderful, a great doula. Sue came into the hospital after my emergency c section and supported me for weeks at home afterwards both during the day and night, helping me get some rest and recover. Sue always made me feel at ease and I was able to talk to her about anything and ask all the questions that I thought were silly. Sue never saw them as such but gave me so much reassurance and answered everyone of them with accuracy and detail. Sue is brilliant with my little boy and I felt so safe handing him to her, so I could catch up on some sleep after the sleepless nights and having this confidence and trust was the most important thing and I have it with Sue in abundance. Sue knows her job inside out so when it came to the support that I needed as a disabled women with a disabled husband and 2 year old toddler and a little boy who had few minor issues during the first few weeks of life, she gave me everything I needed to get through the first few months when it was very challenging. Sue became part of the family. Sue knowledge is incredible and is demonstrated in everything she does and says. I really enjoyed chatting to her and I would recommend her to anyone who needs a doula both for birth and postnatally. She is wonderful and I don’t think I could say thank you enough for what she has done for me and my little boy.
Lucky to have found Sue
Sue helped us navigate our first weeks as first time parents and put our minds at ease about so many worries we had. She was very reliable and even on days when we wouldn’t see her she’d still check in with us, which made me feel cared for – it was exactly what I needed during those difficult first weeks.
Breastfeeding was challenging and I would have given up a few times without Sue’s reassurance and advice. She helped me stay strong and figure out the best way to feed the baby when she had difficulty gaining back the birth weight.
I highly recommend Sue to anyone who’s looking for a down to earth doula who will try to support and help you with your parenting decisions without passing any judgement.
She’s also a good laugh and I always looked forward to the days when she’d be around.
Thank you for your invaluable support, we were very lucky to find you!
Non-judgemental care and reassurance
Sue helped us when we had a newborn (with a toddler) and my husband was very ill. Can’t recommend getting her in for night shifts enough! I felt totally relaxed with her in charge that I got the sleep I needed to cope. My favourite thing was how non-judgemental Sue was about everything though. I never felt anything other than a good mum when chatting to Sue, as we all should!
We are really grateful and very glad that we met Sue
We planned to use a PNDoula for a few weeks but ended up using Sue for few months as the support she gave us was unique and frankly, invaluable. We didn’t have the support we had hoped from family and friends and Sue was the one constant who stayed with us through many ups and downs. Her flexibility and relaxed nature were so helpful as we tried different routines or hit new milestones she adapted with us and our son.
Sue helped both me and my husband in different ways, we grew as parent in confidence, we used her to sound things out without judgement and most of all we trusted her with our son to be loving, fun and safe. He adored her and always smiled with her. Sue is very down to earth and has a wonderful sense of humour. She is extremely experienced but didn’t come into to our home like an “expert” but as a friend and ally. We are really grateful and very glad we took this route and met Sue.
We highly recommend Sue
Sue has really offered great support to my wife an me during the first weeks of our child’s life. Sue is great with our son and put our minds to ease about many aspects of parenthood very quickly. She’s also been very flexible, not only in her availability and also in what she’s been able to do for us in terms of both childcare and generally in supporting us (which has been of even greater importance as we don’t have family close by). We highly recommend Sue to anyone who is considering hiring a doula.
Exactly what a mum with a newborn needs
Sue has been an amazing support postnatally. She has a calm kind manner that put me at ease straight away I felt very comfortable talking to her about the birth and how I was feeling in general. She supported us so much in the early weeks holding my son so I could sleep, making meals, putting the washing on and so many other things. Exactly what a mum with a newborn needs.
Sue guided us every step of the way in the most supportive and friendly way
Sue provided us with post natal doula support for our first child. She came with great experience, knowledge and a lot of care for her clients. Neither my husband or myself have been baby people and we were completely clueless about how to care for our child, and my own post birth recovery. Sue guided us every step of the way in the most supportive and friendly way. we have gained so much more confidence as a result. it is safe to say we wouldn’t have survived the 4th trimester without Sue’s help! thank you!!
She is easy going and listens in a compassionate way
Sue was recently a postnatal doula for me at a time when I was particularly in need. This was my third birth, and it was even moreso important for me to have someone as understanding as Sue to provide support in my situation. Sue enabled me to fulfil my postnatal wishes, of a gentle recovery. I could trust her with my newborn and also with my other 2 children, whilst I got some sleep and I appreciated having extra helping hands!
My children warmed to Sue very quickly and this was so important as they are still young. Sue is helpful in a practical way which you will appreciate. Her calm nature is also a bonus. She is easy going and listens in a compassionate way, in a judgement-free space but will also offer useful advice. Thanks Sue x
Sue was fantastic!
Sue provided post natal doula support for my wife and I for 6 weeks. She provided the most amazing care, helping my wife through the ups and downs of breastfeeding and guiding us through those first few weeks, which can feel more than a little chaotic. Sue has a very calm presence about her. She provides practical, useful advice on how to deal with whatever comes up and gives you the simple reassurance that you’re doing great even when it feels trying, which is sometimes the most important thing to hear. Sue was fantastic!
Not sure how we would have coped without her
From the start, Sue was very organised and quick to respond to emails, texts and phone calls, and always right on time or even early to meetings.
At our initial meeting and two prenatal sessions, she was kind, calm, a good listener and provided a lot of information and experience while being completely open about what she didn’t or couldn’t know, and totally non-judgemental. I never had a sense that she wanted me to have a certain kind of birth. She also brought hand outs for us to read at our leisure and gave advice on what to buy for the baby, what to pack in the birth bag etc.
Our daughter was born past her due date and it was brilliant for my partner and I to speak to her about sweeps and the possibility of induction. Again she never made me feel like I should or shouldn’t do anything but instead was a great and informed sounding board.
At home, after labour started, I can’t say how reassuring and helpful it was to have her there (on the phone, then in person) from the first contraction – for me and my partner. Not sure how we would have coped without her.
At the hospital, Sue was a wonderful calm presence and also great at prompting me to eat and drink, and reassuring my partner often, and gently suggesting things for him to do too. She was also involved in a key decision about the possibility of forceps and my partner was grateful for her advice.
I would highly recommend
Not having family around you to help after giving birth was proving to be hard. Sue helped me to sleep while she was taking very well care of my little one. Her support was very previous in order for me to recover from the birth. I would highly recommend her if you are in need of a reliable doula to help you with post natal support.
I would definitely recommend her
Sue was a life saver after my second son was born. I could trust her completely with my newborn which meant I had time to rest and spend time with my toddler to make the transition easier for him. Sue was gentle with my baby, helpful and super easy to have in the house. She also provided emotional support which is so important especially when you don’t have family living close by. I don’t know what I would have done without her and I would definitely recommend her.
Sue was my post natal doula, and was invaluable.
I suffered from post natal anxiety, and Sue never made me feel that I was being silly. She was calm and supportive. And came with me to the doctor when I needed extra help.
I struggled to breastfeed and Sue understood how important it was to me, and drove me to breastfeeding support groups.
She messaged in between visits to check how things had gone.
I’d use her again in a heartbeat!
